During the week of 22-26 April 2024, Butterfly House had an awareness program which focused on Freedom Day. The topics we covered was Mandela’s history at Robben Island and Victor Verster. We created three stations where our children spent 20 minutes engaging with facilitators on Mandela’s history in relation to the correctional facilities where he was incarcerated. Every station displayed photos and items linked to the topics. The aim of the stations was to educate our children on historical events which contributed to the freedom we experienced and enjoyed on Saturday. #FreedomDay
